PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are turning to the community for help in locating a 13-year-old girl who has been missing for more than two weeks, and investigators believe she may still be somewhere close to home.
Christin Ariel Smith, who friends and family know simply as ‘Chrissy,’ was last seen in Philadelphia on April 21, 2026. According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Christin may still be in the local area, but she may also have traveled to nearby Chester or Glenolden, Pennsylvania.
The Philadelphia Police Department is leading the investigation. Christin’s case has been entered into the National Crime Information Center under NCIC number M138883476 and is being tracked by NCMEC under reference number 2085271.
Detectives are reminding residents that Christin may be using the nickname ‘Chrissy,’ something that could prove important if anyone has met or spoken with a young teenager matching her description. A familiar face at a bus stop, a corner store, or a park bench could be the lead investigators have been waiting for.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department at (215) 686-3353. In an emergency, residents should dial 911 right away. Tips can also be submitted to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).
